'Congratulation to Anna'

Olay Makeover award winner Anna Kennedy

Anna Kennedy was the eventual winner of the Smooth radio Live Life award with Olay Definity.

And now you can see the results in the Observer Woman Magazine published on Sunday 17th January.”

Anna, 49, was the North East nominee. She came out on top in our public vote and just managed to pip five other strong competitors, who'd each been nominated to represent their respective Smooth Radio station to the award.

Listen again to Mark Goodier chat to Anna

Anna has two sons with autism and has made a huge difference, not only to their lives, but also to hundreds of other children and their families in the last 10 years.

After remortgaging her small home Anna set up a charity, a school, a college, a residential home, play schemes and support groups all for children and adults affected by autism. In between all of this, Anna had a miscarriage and continued battling on.

She has written a book, Not Stupid, that was a top 10 best seller! All of this on three hours sleep a night due to her young son’s care needs. Always working for others and thinking of others, Anna is always thinking of the next project and is a worthy winner of the award.
