Our holiday cottages & Sioux Tipi are on a traditionally run Highland Estate fifty-five miles North of Inverness, on the shores of Loch Broom. Ullapool, a thriving West Coast village is three miles away: it boasts a variety of shops, cafes and restaurants to suit all tastes. A holiday with us can be tailored to suit your needs; whether couples, families with children, groups, climbing clubs and pets, we can accommodate you. The cottages are open all year. 

For those who enjoy the challenge of the outdoors there are numerous Munros and Mountains nearby as well as other activities such as pony trekking, sailing and nature watching. We have let cottages for holidays since 1962 which are quality assured by the Scottish Tourist Board and the Green Tourism Business Scheme. Many guests come back year after year - we aim to make you feel welcome and treat Leckmelm as your second home. 

With each let we pick a bunch of Biodynamic Calendulas which welcome each guest to their cottage together with a copy of the local newspaper, tourist info and a bag of logs.

There are 4 different houses on the estate for let. Included in the price is linen, towels, heating, electricity and a small bag of logs.

Main house (sleeps 4-5) £370 - £600 per week: This is a modem villa set amongst larch and pine trees on the hill. Built in traditional stone the house has landscaped grounds and a paved terrace suitable for outdoor dining in the summer months.

Lochside Cottages (sleep 4-6) £270 - £510 per week: These 3 Cottages on the edge of Lochbroom were completely rebuilt in 2004 to provide the ultimate comfort from which you can enjoy armchair nature watching. Otters, porpoises, seals, dolphins, sheep and pigs are regularly spotted by visitors. The three cottages are terraced with private, secluded entrances, an access ramp for those with limited mobility and are on a single storey. Each cottage has excellent views over the Loch 

Relax into Autumn with our special offer. An ideal holiday for a group of friends or families at Lockside Cottages (max 10 people)From 4th-11th October. We provide delicicious home cooked meals, using organic meats and vegetables from the farm and seafood straight off local boats. Vegetarian and specialist diets imaginatively catered for. If you fancy a little more chose from our diverse range of expert lead activities. including hill walking, canoing, wild food foraging, felting, dry stone walling, bread and chutney making, yoga and massage. Price: from £300 per person (for a group of 10 persons) for accommodation and meals, activities are priced separately.

Some have washing machine, dryers, dishwasher, freezer.

Tipi camping: The Sioux Tipi (sleeps 2) in the walled garden is a sheltered spot for camping. There is a groundsheet inside with rugs. Tipi hire is £70 per week.

Family & baby friendly: We provide cots, high chairs in cottages upon request. Area is safe for children to play and there are lots of cool farm animals to meet. We have 4 passes to the local leisure centre which has a 25m pool & climbing wall. We provide cots, high chairs and have a babysitting service.

Disabled access: The Lochside Cottages all have wheelchair ramps and are suitable for disabled access.

Pets: Please feel free to bring the family pet. We have welcomed a variety from dogs to tortoises.
