LOLO STUBBS TALKS TO ANNA KENNEDY
Anna Kennedy in Conversation with Author, BROOD Magazine Editor and Mum of 4 Lolo Stubbs, talking ‘All things Autism’
40 year old, Mancunian, Lolo Stubbs, has 4 children – two of which, (her eldest, 11 and her youngest who is 3,) live with Autism. Lolo and Anna, got to together for Women’s Radio Station to discuss what Lolo and her family have learnt about Autism since her eldest’s diagnosis 8 years ago and how they have adapted things in their life to do their best to ensure that all of their children are thriving and happy.
Lolo Stubbs is a Women’s Fiction writer of two novels, including the best selling Dressed up as Love and the sequel Dressed up in Armour. Lolo discussed with Anna that she wrote the two novels by drawing on her past experience of Domestic Abuse and how this led her to working with Women’s Aid UK and how she is now an ambassador for the charity. Lolo is releasing her third novel later in the year. Alongside being a busy mum of 4 and being an Author, Lolo is also the co-founder and Editor of BROOD Magazine – which is an online magazine, created to empower and inspire parents who are busy juggling life bringing up a family alongside having a career or running a business. Lolo tells Anna (who has featured in the magazine herself) where the inspiration to start magazine has come from and how it has grown from strength to strength since it began just over a year ago; sharing stories from many high profile celebrities such as Helen Skelton, Kelvin Fletcher, Rebecca Adlington and many more, and creating a valuable community of like minded people who are all juggling a brood and a career.
